These are just a few websites that I have found that could be helpful to any of my tater tots that are struggling and in need of some support, love or resources. Please remember that you are always loved by someone - even if you don't feel it at the moment.
Below is a list of websites that can help you find support, advice or resources on many different topics. Don't be afraid to reach out and seek help.
To Write Love On Her Arms
TWLOHA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to giving hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicidal thoughts or ideations. Included on their website is a list of self help activities, blog posts and crisis lines for immediate support.
The Rainbow Youth Project
The Rainbow Youth Project is a social welfare organization that promotes the health, safety, wellness and equality of the LGBTQ+ community across the United States. They provide access to mental health, suicide prevention and intervention as well as gender affirming counselling to LGBTQ+ youth and their families.
Love is Respect
Love is Respect is a resource created by the National Domestic Violence Hotline that provides 24/7 information, advocacy and support to young people who have questions or concerns about romantic relationships. They offer safety plans and tips, a helpline and resources to help get you out of an abusive or dangerous relationship.
The link provided above has a list of mental health resources geared towards BIPOC mental health as well as systemic racism issues. Including organizations, podcasts, apps and blogs that help provide resources to BIPOC and whatever you may be going through.
Suicide Stop is an international help centre that provides hotlines and chats tailored to your country. As well as offering tools to help you stop self harming, find an online therapist or to help a loved one who may be struggling. They also offer online games, videos and motivational quotes if you are in need of some positivity or a distraction.
Eating Disorder Hope
Eating Disorder Hope is an online community that offers resources, education, support and inspiration to those struggling with body image issues and disordered eating behaviours. They offer recovery tools, ways to get treatment, programs and awareness.
Mental Health Resources for Students of Color
It can be difficult for POC to find supportive resources that fit their needs. We want everyone to have somewhere to reach out and feel included. Psychologydegreeguide.org has provided this guide full of relevant support for students of Black, Indigenous and Latinx communities.
Grief Support for Loss of Loved ones
Good Grief is a non-profit organization that has plenty of resources for those going through the loss of loved ones as well as resources for the friends and family of someone grieving. There are many articles on the website about how to navigate different stages of grief and find support.
Grief.com offers plenty of resources for all types of grief. They teach about the 5 stages of grief, offer podcasts, online grief workshops and have plenty of articles regarding loss, suicide and grief, the loss of a child, etc. They also have a space on their website where you can find grief groups in your area.
Spread The Cheer: Family Support
Spread the Cheeer is a 501c3 non profit that assists families in need through the holidays, but spreads their love and kindness year round, 365 days a year. They make a difference in so many peoples lives and are also those that run the Cheer Choice Awards every year.
